This is a video of the Tweetup4Good Cruise so that those who donated can see where their donations went. Many of the orphanages asked us to not show any of the children or the location of their facilities, for the safety of the kids. I want to give a special thanks to my daughter and the rest of the students at Northwestern Middle School for their fundraising efforts towards this cause. Giving back on a vacation is easy and travelers wouldn’t have to give at every port. Just bringing a small backpack filled with schools supplies can help more than you can know.
To plan your own giving back vacation, check out TogetherforGood.org, a non-profit that provides free information for travelers looking for ways to give back. Special thanks to Norwegian Cruise Line for sponsoring our cruise.

The video really brings the Tweetup4Good to life. The site also has lots of good information about giving back. I’ll be going through a few of those countries this spring and will look for voluntourism opportunities before I arrive.
Hi Shannon. I’m headed that direction as well and hope to combine some volunteering with my travels. I’ll definitely check out your resources. Thanks for the great video.

It’s true, Shannon, a picture is worth a thousand words. In this case, your video shows how a traveler (or vacationer) can combine an enjoyable trip with volunteering for a good cause. Excellent video.
