The Crown Princess Western Caribbean cruise route stops in various ports, including Georgetown, Grand Cayman. There are many port excursions available for any age or level of adventure. My excursion of choice: The Grand Cayman 4×4 Adventure, which is booked per vehicle with room for four. Little did I know that this adventure would turn into a legendary race between myself, and travel writing colleague Kim Mance.
Kim, along with her posse The Galavanting Gals, challenged us to what has become known as Tweet My Dust. There were other racers involved, including A Road Retraveled and BrilliantTips, but the contest took a sinister turn when Kim and I went head to head and broke off from the caravan.
This footage is the real story behind the tweets: Tweet My Dust.

Woo!
Reminds me of ‘Exercise Ridge Runner’ in 1996 … we drove Humvees and our American opponents drove our Land Rovers so the losers could blame their equipment.
Those 4×4 adventures are fun, aren’t they? If you’re ever on Bora Bora, take the 4×4 excursion that goes straight up a mountain. Of course they won’t let guests drive but it’s still fun.

This is hysterical. I want to know more. How did Kim find you – was she really lost – where exactly was that gorgeous beach – were you also lost??????? Fun, fun, fun!

Thanks Anil. Kim Mance is one editing goddess!
You made me laugh with that one, Sherry
We were following Kim through a narrow trail and somehow we missed a turn. We did find everyone after driving around a bit. The beach is actually Barker National Park.
Bora Bora is on my list. Thanks Donna:)
That’s a funny story Keith. So, who lost?
Looks like you gals had some fun, Yee ha! Like the vid from the Galavanting girls.

The Americans … I think! I came in 2nd, driving a Humvee, with a sailor I wouldn't follow out of a burning barn as navigator, so it shows what the 'opposition' was like
