Have you heard of the Famous Crazy Sticks? Crazy Sticks are solid perfumes in a variety of collections and scents made by crazy libellule and the poppies, a Parisian company founded by super-sophisticated Isabelle Masson – Mandonnaud. This solid fragrance is travel friendly and because they’re solid, they shouldn’t get confiscated by the TSA.
On my last trip that required air travel, I tested a scent from the ShanghaiJava Collection. I breezed through security without even placing this product in my little clear baggie of liquids. Plus, the 0.17 oz size barely took up room in my Tom Bihn Smart Alec backpack. Each night for dinner during my trip, I felt confident (and even a bit sensual) wearing Blue Orchidée, especially after reading the company’s website description:
“A fascinating, bewitching elegance taking possession of the air… She adorns her skin with a man’s shirt, and wears a blue orchid at her waist. Simultaneously, she he exudes freedom and discipline… under the gaze of men and women alike, she tugs at the strings of our senses...”
If that doesn’t make a woman feel sexy, I don’t know what will! I especially love how the website displays an olfactory circle for each product, letting the consumer see all the scents contained in each parfum. My choice of Blue Orchidée contains essence of ylang ylang, bergamot, bitter orange, jasmine, and hints of rose, musk, sandalwood, vanilla, and tangerine. Put together in a tiny stick and you get seduction!
Do you know what makes this scented product even better? The fact that it comes in an ecological carboard case, lasts 269 applications, and contains no parabens, no coloring agents, and no alcohol (plus affordable). Don’t worry about having to travel all the way to Paris to get your hands on this fantastic item, the Collection ShanghaiJava is available on some Sephora stores and online at Sephora.com, BeautyHabit.com, B-Glowing.com, and Amazon.com. Each Crazy Stick has a suggested retail price of $18. Don’t buy just one because they are compatible with other Crazy Sticks in the Collection ShanghaiJava.
Want to win one to try out for yourself? Just visit crazylibellule and the poppies website and leave a comment with the scent you would choose for yourself. And just because I’m feeling postal charges generous this holiday season, this contest is open to anyone worldwide. Contest ends Thursday, December 3, 2009 at 11:59pm CST with winner being announce on this site sometime the next day.
Be sure to follow crazy libellule and the poppies on Facebook and Twitter. Special thanks to the company for providing product for review and giveaway.
Winner Update: Congratulations to John Rasmussen who likes to surprise his girlfriend with things like this.

I like solid perfumes for travel, but usually have a had time finding them, or one that I like. And when I do find one I like, I seem to have difficulty finding it a second time.
Fun site. I especially liked trying the “Olfactory selector”, which matched individual scents that appealed to me to suggestions of perfumes I might like. Accordingly, Ananas Imperial sounds good to me
