Transcript of Podcast: Hi! This is Shannon Hurst Lane and I am currently in a professional development seminar with a lovely group of teachers representing the Zachary Community School District. Today they are learning how to produce podcasts that will enhance the educational experience their students have when school starts.
Some of the subjects their individual podcast will include:
Their name and subjects they teach
Major projects that will be completed in the classroom throughout the year
Supplemental Programs
Their Moodle Page, which is a course management system that allows teachers to communicate and extend their classroom to a secure online environment.
Goals for the year
An idea of what the students can expect from their class
School supplies needed
Important people they should know at the school, such as the principal
And a closing note.
This idea isn’t just for teachers, but for anyone with a webpage or blog. Having an audio introduction for your readers will not only inform them, but it will help them get to know you a little better, therefore enhancing the social media experience.
