This looks like a great old place!
I’ve stayed at Punderson in Ohio several times. There are rumors of that place being haunted, and I know of one person who claimed she was sleeping and felt something sit down on her bed. No one was in the room with her at the time. I never saw/felt the ghost in a half dozen stays there, though.
Pilgrim House Inn in Rhode Island is also said to be haunted by a little girl. We didn’t see her in the several days we were there.
Those were my stories last Halloween…I’ve got something else in mind this year. Seems there are haunted sites all over!

I’ve never had a haunting type experience such as described by the commenter above. Maybe that would make me more cautious about staying or visiting such places, but I am quite relaxed about it. I toured the touristy Winchester Mystery House in San Jose some years back (http://www.travel-wonders.com/2008/11/rifling-through-mystery-house-san-jose.html) and could only but smile at some of the stories of weird goings-on. But you could see many were shocked and concerned byt he same stories. Maybe they have had such experiences.

I toured the Myrtles back in high school, and while I didn’t see or hear anything supernatural I did have something a bit strange happen.

I was taking photos inside the house and after one or two snaps, I turned to photograph a painting of someone. Suddenly, the camera stopped working. It wouldn’t click at all. I figured my batteries had just gone out on me.

But, later when we were back outside on the grounds, I tried it again and suddenly it worked! wooooo….
