Thanks so much for writing this post. It reminded me about my family. We have a vacation home in the Poconos around a lake, and a walk around the lake is a walk down memory lane and a sanity hit. Plus my brother lives in Louisiana and plays folks music, so the tune and the lake views and the touchstone of your grandmother all hit home.

There’s no easy answer to this one. While it’s easy to cry ‘No censorship of any kind’, it’s also easy to forget that most of the violence and disorder in UK last Summer was allegedly co-ordinated by social media. Nobody wants that to happen again, but how to prevent it without also stifling legitimate protest and possibly even innocent discussion?

It’s a difficult call, and one which must be carefully thought through before coming down with arbitrary, heavy handed ‘one size fits all’ legislation.
