The first time I met Barbara Weibel in real life was at Blogher 09. It was my first foray into the women’s blog conference world and it was also Barbara’s first time to attend. We met up in between sessions and sat together at a large table at the end of a long day, chatting away as women filed out of the main event room.
Barbara seemed like a lovely individual before we met in person, and she was even lovelier afterwards. She’s a kind, gentle soul with a passion for new experiences and exploring the world as much as possible. Barbara previously left a corporate high-dollar job to find happiness within herself. Her nomadic soul is finally getting a chance to rejoice through the stories she creates on the Cultural Travel blog, Hole in the Donut.
I’ve enjoyed following Barbara’s latest adventures through Nepal. Her travel videos and stories highlight the culture of the families and people she’s come across in her latest travels. Barbara is an amazing woman with amazing courage. If you haven’t already heard of her blog, be sure to check out Hole in the Donut. You can also follow her on Twitter and connect on Facebook.
Barbara, you are a special person and I’m glad that our paths have crossed. You inspire me.
