Shannon Hurst Lane roams the world in search of hotels with fantastic bathrooms, restaurants with delicious vittles, and nightclubs with potent libations. She thrives on the excitement and adventure of travel.

She has been called aficionado, wayfarer, and scribe (as well as many other things). Most of all, she loves life and the people she meets along the journey.

Shannon Hurst Lane considers travel as important as oxygen. Sometimes she travels by foot, mapping out the best destinations for her readers. Other times, she travels for travel’s sake, soaring over continents or chugging up a mountainside. Many times she can be found in RedBug, making memorable road trips. Also, you can follow her Twitventures on Twitter.

Shannon is a left handed writer. As a child, she would write stories with her number 2 pencil until her hand cramped and her middle finger became raw from the shaved wood. One day, a popular daytime diva gifted Shannon with a green Sony Vaio on a Favorite Things show. Now she can REALLY write. (Did you read the hundreds of posts she wrote for Traveling Mamas?)

Hey there Shannon! It’s Debby, Desi’s ex-wife! I saw Jamie McKenzie the other day, and she was telling me about all the travelling you do, and the reviews you write. Do you have anyone else working for you, and travelling? I used to be a Delta flight attendant for fifteen years, and would be interested in working with you if you wanted to do so. I’m also pretty good at writing too. My ph. number is 225 241-6669-would love to talk to you about it! Hope you guys are doing well!!!
